Easy Alien Craft For Kids Inspired by Space Friends Forever
Hello Whisker Woods friends! ๐
Today weโre blasting off into the galaxy with an adorable DIY alien craft inspired by Space Friends Forever! If your little ones love space adventures, silly aliens, rockets, and hands-on activities, this easy recycled craft is perfect for preschoolers and early elementary kids.
In Space Friends Forever, Hunny & Koko discover a mysterious blinking light that launches them into an unforgettable journey through space. Along the way they meet Don the alien, dance at the Galaxy Bash, snack on Cosmo Pops, and learn that friendship can travel across the universe. ๐ซ
To celebrate the book, we created our own colorful alien buddies using toilet paper rolls and simple craft supplies!
๐ How To Make Toilet Paper Roll Aliens
Supplies Youโll Need:
Empty toilet paper rolls
Green, purple, and yellow construction paper
Googly eyes
Pipe cleaners
Pom poms
Glue or tape
Scissors
Black marker
๐ฝ Step 1: Wrap The Roll
Wrap each toilet paper roll with colorful construction paper and glue it down. We used:
Green
Purple
Yellow
These become your alien bodies!
๐ Step 2: Add Googly Eyes
Glue on googly eyes to give each alien its own silly personality. One eye? Three eyes? Giant eyes? In outer space, anything goes! ๐
๐ธ Step 3: Create Alien Antennas
Cut pipe cleaners and attach them inside the top of the roll. Add pom poms to the ends for fun alien antennae.
Tip: Bend them crooked or wiggly to make them look extra goofy!
โ๏ธ Step 4: Add Ears
Cut simple circle or oval shapes from construction paper and glue them to the sides of your alien.
No need for perfect cutting โ the more kid-made it looks, the cuter it is!
๐ Step 5: Draw A Funny Alien Smile
Use a black marker to draw silly mouths and tiny alien teeth.
Some can be friendlyโฆ
Some can be goofyโฆ
Some can be SUPER weird. ๐พ
๐ Step 6: Create An Entire Alien Crew
Now itโs time to make a whole galaxy of space friends!
Ask your little astronauts:
What planet is your alien from?
Whatโs their alien name?
What do they eat at the Galaxy Bash?
Can they dance the Galactic Gallop with Hunny & Koko?
This is such a fun way to encourage creativity and imaginative storytelling after reading the book.
